The Dora Foundation provides financial help with vet bills when a much-loved pet needs essential or emergency veterinary treatment and their family cannot afford the full cost.
Unexpected vet bills can reach hundreds or even thousands of pounds. For families already under financial pressure, a sudden illness or injury can leave them facing an impossible decision.
The Dora Foundation exists to bridge that gap. We work with pet owners and veterinary practices to contribute towards necessary treatment, helping animals receive care while giving families hope.
We focus on essential medical treatment where financial hardship could prevent a pet from getting the care they need.

We may contact your veterinary practice to confirm the diagnosis, urgency and expected cost.
Applications are reviewed fairly based on medical need, available funds and financial hardship.
Where possible, grants are paid directly to the veterinary practice towards agreed treatment.
Pets are family. Our goal is to make sure a temporary financial crisis does not become a permanent goodbye.
— The Dora Foundation
A £25 donation could contribute towards diagnostics, medication or emergency treatment for a pet whose family has nowhere else to turn.
Funding can help with follow-up appointments, wound care, prescriptions and treatment needed after a major procedure.
Tests, scans and blood work can be costly. Financial help can make the difference between uncertainty and a treatment plan.
Your donation can help a family say “yes” to treatment when the answer might otherwise have been “we can’t afford it.”
Complete the form and the foundation can review your request. For an urgent medical emergency, contact your veterinary practice first.
Whether you donate, fundraise, volunteer or simply share our mission, you can help a pet receive the treatment they deserve.
